Sergino Dest: I'm happy with my debut and that the coach backed me
The American defender came on at left back out of position against Sevilla
Barcelona handed Sergino Dest his debut on Sunday night in the 1-1 draw with Sevilla. The defender replaced the injured Jordi Alba, playing out of his natural position as left-back.
"I'm very happy to debut and for the confidence that Koeman has shown me," said Dest, although he added: "I'd have preferred to have debuted with a win and not a draw."
He liked playing at Camp Nou.
"It's an incredible sensation, it was a really nice debut despite the fact there was no fans. Camp Nou is one of the most impactful stadiums in the world."
He did not mind being used at left back.
"I don't have a problem playing left back, I'm a right back but available for what the coach and team need."
