Sergino Dest called up to USA squad, Konrad left out
The Barcelona right back is involved again with the Americans
Barcelona right back Sergino Dest has been called up to Gregg Berhalter’s USA squad to face Jamaica and Northern Ireland. Konrad de la Fuente, who was in the previous squad, has not been taken this time.
The squad, with 26 players, is young with an average age of 23, and 16 players aren’t over 22. There are players from 10 leagues included.
Dest has been impressive in Ronald Koeman’s 3-5-2 system as a right wing back, getting forward well. He’s started the club’s last five games.
Konrad, not included, made his debut in November against Wales in a friendly.
