The man from Reus is one of the club's most versatile players

But he doesn't see himself filling in for the injured Umtiti

Barcelona have a number of players missing, especially in defence. The injury to Samuel Umtiti, who will be out for eight weeks, is a blow to the squad, but Sergi Roberto says there are players who can reliably fill in for the Frenchman.

Roberto made the comments in relation to himself, when asked if, due to his versatility, he could see himself dropping in at centre-backs.

"I've never played in that position," he said. "Losing Samu is not good for us, just like losing any players isn't good, but the players that come in will be prepared. We have a big squad and those that come in do well and give 100 percent for the team."

Roberto added: "I don't see myself playing there, though. No. But the players that do will do really well."

And the academy graduate added that he's never even played there in training: "In fact, I never have been tried there, no. I know it's a difficult position, but even though Samu is injured there are good players."
