Sergi Barjuan appointed as Barcelona's interim manager
The Barca B boss will take charge of training and the weekend clash with Alaves
Sergi Barjuan will coach Barcelona on an interim basis, before Xavi Hernandez takes over. The Barcelona B coach will be on the bench this weekend against Alaves after Ronald Koeman was sacked on Wednesday night.
The Barcelona president Joan Laporta will present Barujan to the first team squad later Thursday, with Barca training at 5pm.
Barjuan will speak to the media on Friday at 1pm ahead of the clash with Alaves, while Joan Laporta will speak too.
The club are working on freeing Xavi from his Al-Sadd contract. They want him in charge by Nov 2, when Barca face Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League.
