SER reveal proof that 'I3 Ventures' ran accounts critical of Barça players & legends
Barça said they would end their link with the company if it was revealed they were involved
Cadena SER has published proof that reveals that the company I3 Ventures runs the accounts involved in the Barcelona social media scandal.
A report on Monday detailed that Barça has paid I3 Ventures to influence on social media, with the tasks including maintaining president Josep Maria Bartomeu's reputation while discrediting others.
Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique, Xavi Hernandez, Pep Guardiola and Victor Font were among those linked to Barça who were criticised by the accounts linked to I3 Ventures.
Barça confirmed their working relationship with the company but stressed that neither they nor I3 Ventures had anything to do with the smear campaign.
However, Cadena SER have since revealed aq 36-page document which appears to show a direct link between I3 Ventures and the social media accounts in question.
It remains to be seen how Barça will now act having earlier said they would terminate their relationship with I3 Ventures if they were linked to the accounts.
"I3 Ventures, a service provider to the Club, has no relationship with the accounts mentioned and, if any relationship were to come to light, the Club would immediately end their contractual agreement and bring about any necessary legal action to defend their interests," Barça had said.
