Cadena SER says medical staff have already told the forward he will not play

Mohamed Salah will almost certainly miss the second leg of Tuesday's Champions League final between Barcelona and Liverpool at Anfield.

According to Cadena SER, Liverpool's medical team have already told the forward he will not be fit to take part in the showdown.

The report details that in England there is strict protocol for players who suffer a head injury -- as was the case with Salah, who was forced off on a stretcher as the Reds beat Newcastle 3-2 on Saturday -- and they must go at least six days without playing.

Salah underwent various tests on Sunday to find out what was the problem and see if he would be available to face Barça. SER say a decision has since been taken for him to miss the game and that he is absolutely devastated.

As well as Salah, striker Roberto Firmino is also missing with an injury. That means Sadio Mane's the only member of their front three fit for a game which they are looking to turn aroundf a three-goal first leg deficit it.
