Nelson Semedo is likely to play his 50th game for Barcelona against VIllarreal on Sunday, a number that will see Benfica pocket another €5 million in add-ons, according to the clauses in the transfer.
The Portugal right-back joined Barça in 2017 for a value of €30m plus certain add-ons, among them payments based on the number of matches he plays at Camp Nou.
Benfica revealed when the deal was done: "There are additional payments planned based on the player's performance. A fee of €5,094,965 is due when he makes 50 official appearances for Barcelona."
Semedo played 36 games last season, his first as a Barça player, and has so far featured 13 times during the current campaign. An injury to Sergi Roberto means he's key in the run up until Christmas.
