Sandro Rosell has given an interview to RAC1 from preventative prison. The former Barcelona president has been there since May 25, 2017.

"Two years of my life have been stolen when I should be with my parents when they need it most because they are older and they need me at their side,” said Rosell.

“It is very sad for me to be away from my daughters and my wife. I haven’t been able to celebrate my daughter turning 18, nor the 25th anniversary with my wife.”

The interview was transcribed and narrated by a journalist because in prison they do not allow recorded conversations.

"There was no public money, I have not paid any commission to Teixeira, it is not the case, if I had done it, it is not illegal in Brazil but I did not do it,” he added.

“They say I'll run away, it's silly because my family is here, everything has been seized, I do not have money and I want to show my innocence - for my lawyers it's surreal."
