Samuel Umtiti, Barcelona's French defender was nearly sent off against Athletic Bilbao. He was booked for a foul in the centre of the pitch but it was what happened after that could have cost him big time.
The centre-back, otherwise superb, applauded the referee's decision sarcastically, provoking wild protests from Athletic players who wanted him to be sent off.
Umtiti continued with his bad attitude in the face of their protests, giving them some gestures to mock them. It would have been brutal for Barcelona to lose a man in the calderon that is San Mames, with the score at 1-0.
