Samuel Umtiti's message from home as he watches Sporting-Barça
Umtiti may be out injured but he has not switched off and backed his team-mates against the Asturians
Samuel Umtiti is injured and cannot appear for Barcelona at the moment, but he is not switched off. The defender followed the game from home, watching on TV as his side thrashed Sporting Gijon 5-0 at El Molinon.
Umtiti showed on his social networks how he was following the match. He posted a picture with the following message: “Supporting the team! Go Barça!”
The French centre-back is hoping to return next week after missing the previous two, for the game against Celta Vigo in a week’s time. He will not, however, it is assumed, make the game against Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday in the Champions League.
