Samuel Umtiti takes the gold medal for banter at players' meal

Umtiti was already a protagonist at the previous dinner when his face was melded into Carles Puyol's on an app

Samuel Umtiti, Barcelona's French defender, has become one of the entertainers in the dressing room. With Dani Alves gone, it seems the centre-back has taken his spot.

Umtiti was the source of much amusement at the dinner that Barcelona players had after their win over Osasuna when they returned from Pamplona. According to Xavi Campos on Catalunya Radio, Umtiti led the banter at the restaurant Gatsby.

Umtiti was already a protagonist at the previous dinner when his face was melded into Carles Puyol's on an app, and he was the great showman again here.

A total of 21 players attended, including Neymar, even though he didn't play in Pamplona. Barcelona's dinner took place in an area where it was harder for clients to see the players, so they could be more relaxed. It was a fun meal, a bit rowdy. Luis Enrique had given them the day off afterwards.

According to Campos, the podium of banter saw Neymar pick up bronze, Leo Messi taking silver, but Umtiti was the big winner, taking gold.
