Samuel Umtiti on his situation at Barca: No problem, that's life
The defender was calm when speaking to fans about his position at the club
Samuel Umtiti is calm. He’s a player Barca are trying to sell this summer, along with Miralem Pjanic. Neither have been included in the club’s squads for their first La Liga games.
Leaving training on Friday, Umtiti was stopped by fans asking for autographs and photos.
“Umtiti, you’re great, you don’t deserve what Barca are doing to you,” said a fan in a TikTok video of the interaction, captioned “Umtiti we love you”.
“No problem, it’s life,” replied Umtiti to the fan.
The Frenchman was whistled by some supporters at the Gamper Trophy game as he has not left the club and has a big salary which is causing issues. His deal expires in June 2023.
