Samuel Umtiti's message for Barcelona fans after Lecce loan move
The defender has moved to Italy until the end of the season
Samuel Umtiti has posted a message on his Instagram account thanking Barça fans. "I also want to thank FC Barcelona and all its fans for the great years we have lived together, I wish you the best this season", he said.
The Frenchman began the message with expressions of gratitude to the Lecce supporters who met him upon his arrival in Italy.
"I'm still assimilating everything I experienced yesterday," he added. "Thank you for the affection with which you received me, I'm excited and eager to start competing with this club".
The post was accompanied by an image of Umtiti himself with the training shirt. The Frenchman seems to have found happiness again with this new start in his football career.
After several seasons of ostracism, the Frenchman wants to feel like a footballer again in his new stage in Italian football.
The player has left on loan to Lecce until June without a purchase option. The Italian team will take over part of the Frenchman's salary and Barça will receive a bonus based on the games he plays.
