The coach has gone from down in the dumps to hopeful in terms of the title
What Ronald Koeman said just before his press conference ended was a surprise. “Bit by bit we are getting the squad we want,” he said. “We are trying to find players who improve the team. We’ve had bad luck with injuries. There are always setbacks but they have all been in attack and that’s limited us. When everyone’s fit we’ll have the team to fight for the league title.”
If before it seemed like titles were a dream it seems like within the club, there is some belief they can win.
“Finishing high up in the league would be a success, and you can’t expect miracles in the Champions League,” said Koeman a few weeks ago in his famous statement. But there has been a metamorphosis and a rise in belief and morale.
