FC Barcelona's new manager gave the 19-year-old his senior debut for Holland

New FC Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has a lot of work ahead of him as he looks to decide who to keep and who to move on at the club. He also needs to help identify players for the future and who can bring forward a new era of dominance at Barça.

One of the players that Koeman likes a lot if someone who he knows well from his time as Holland manager. Myron Boadu, who players for AZ Alkmaar, is one of the brightest promises in Dutch football and wouldn't cost too much either.

Despite only being 19, he's scored 14 goals in the Eredivisie and was rewarded for his form with a call up to the Dutch national side. Koeman actually gave him his senior debut in a 5-0 victory over Estonia and the young striker grabbed the final goal of the contest.

Koeman knows him well

Koeman will have followed his progress closely. The young striker has impressed onlookers but he still has a lot of room for improvement. However, he could be a good option for Barça and wouldn't be too expensive either.

Boadu spoke to FOX Sports and was asked if Koeman had spoken to him since taking over at Barça. "I don't think I'm ready for that yet," he confessed. "I don't know anything about that. You'd need to ask my agent."

Although Barça and Koeman will monitor the situation they are aware of Sevilla's interest in the youngster. Monchi, one of the most astute movers in the transfer market, has already given his thumbs up to the deal and could steal a march on Barça whilst they focus on other priorities first.
