Without a doubt, one of the images of the day was Ronald Koeman greeting Memphis Depay in Barca training. The Dutchman has waited a long time for his compatriot.
They worked together with the Dutch national team in the Koeman era with the Netherlands. He has always believed in Depay’s potential and quality and has asked for his transfer since he arrived at Barca.
Now he has been able to get his man, for free at the end of Depay’s Lyon contract, and he will be presented officially on Thursday. On Wednesday he will presumably watch as a spectator as the team face Nastic at the Johan Cruyff stadium.
