The player asked the national team coach for some advice
France coach Didier Deschamps advised Antoine Griezmann to stay at Atletico Madrid, according to RMC (French radio station).
They said that the forward asked his coach for advice and the former midfielder had no doubt in saying that the best for him would be to stay with his current club, in the Spanish capital.
The coach said that at Atletico Griezmann is No 1, whereas at Barcelona he would be in the shadow of others, like Leo Messi.
They say Griezmann still has not made up his mind. He wanted to have his future sorted ahead of the World Cup so there are no distractions for him. Griezmann did not speak to the media after the friendly win over Ireland on Monday.
