Riqui Puig and Patri Guijarro were the chosen models for the new shirt designed by Nike which is from the season when Van Gaal won LaLiga
Riqui Puig and Patri Guijarro were chosen to wear the new Barça shirt produced by Nike. Puig, from Barça B and Guijarro, from the women's senior side, are wearing the new shirt which celebrates the 20-year partnership between Nike and Barça. It's a shirt inspired by the 1998/99 season where Van Gaal oversaw Barça winning LaLiga.
Nike are going to launch a series of historically inspired shirts but they won't be worn by the first team. They replaced Kappa as the official kit manufacturers in 1998.
In that famous season the original shirts were worn by Rivaldo, Luis Enrique and Xavi Hernandez. Season ticket holders and club members can now find the shirt in official Nike shops.
