The Barcelona duo feature in the top 10 with values over 130 million euros

Football is changing. Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and even Kylian Mbappe now find themselves behind other players when it comes to value. In fact, another player in fashion, Erling Haaland, isn't in the podium, either. The player with the highest value in a new study is Manchester City's Phil Foden (190.2 million euros).

Silver and bronze also go to players in Manchester, albeit at United rather than City: Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford. They are valued at 170 million euros and 158 million euros. They are closely followed by Haaland, who is fourth, with a value of 155.5 million.

In terms of Barcelona, Frenkie de Jong and Pedri are the highest-ranked players. The Dutchman is sixth with a value of 138.7 million, followed by the Canary Islander at 133.2 million. Meanwhile, Sergiño Dest, is sixth in the list of La Liga players, rated at 92.7 million euros and the third-highest valued Barça player.

In the overall top 10, one other La Liga player features: Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix at 127.8 million. To find the highest-ranked Real Madrid player, you have to drop to 18th, where Vinivius Jr sits with a value of 104 million.
