Referee Sanchez Martinez allows Casemiro to play in the Clasico

The Brazilian midfielder was not booked even though he might have been twice

Real Madrid faced RCD Mallorca knowing if three players got booked they would miss the Clasico against Barcelona on Sunday.

Eder Militao, Casemiro and Ferland Mendy were the trio, the first of which did not make the game because he had the flu.

Meanwhile referee Sanchez Martinez gave Casemiro the chance to play in El Clasico by refusing to book him.

The Brazilian might have twice got a yellow. Once in the first half when he fouled Angel on the counter attack. Mallorca players asked for the booking, but it did not come.

Then he clearly handled the ball near his own box in the second half, the referee awarding a free kick but not giving a yellow card.

Carlo Ancelotti saw what was happening and subbed Casemiro before he could commit a third offence.

Mendy, meanwhile, picked up an injury, along with Karim Benzema and Rodrygo.
