The winger joined the Premier League club on loan in the summer

Xavi Hernandez's appointment as Barcelona's new coach is expected to see the team return to playing with two wide players once again, as he recognised in his presentation on Monday.

Therefore, aware of the lack of proper wingers in the current squad, Xavi is open to bringing Francisco Trincao back in January from his loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to Record.

The cited media report that Xavi has followed Trincao's performances in the Premier League. While he's not excelled on a statistics level -- just one assist and no goals -- he's a regular in the side and has shown his ability one on one.

Record claims that Xavi has asked Barça to negotiate with the English side with regards to recalling the Portugal international in January.

Wolves have an option to sign Trincao for €30 million in the summer. The ex-Braga forward is currently on loan at Wolves, for which they paid €6m. Therefore, Barça would have to compensate them financially to bring him back.
