Reactions to Joan Laporta's press conference on Monday about the 'Negreira case' were not long in coming. Among many other things, the Catalan president said that Real Madrid was the team of the Regime, something that has not sat very well with Los Blancos, who replied with a video hours later.
"I want to refer to a club that says it feels wronged," said Laporta. "A club that has always been favoured by refereeing decisions. A club that was considered the team of the Regime, because of its proximity to the political and economic power... "
It is with this quote that Real Madrid kicked off theor reply, later recalling that Barcelona decorated Franco with three medals and that he was made an honorary member of the club in 1965.
They go on to point out that Franco's Minister General José Luis Ruíz inaugurated Camp Nou, while Franco himself saved the club three times from bankruptcy with three requalifications.
TITLES
On the subject of titles, they also comment that Barcelona won eight Leagues and nine Generalissimo Cups during that period.
