Real Madrid are still the kings of penalties in La Liga
They have been awarded the most penalties (511) and have the best balance (+233) throughout the last 86 and a half campaigns
Barcelona came back from behind to beat Alaves and it was a party pooper for those who wish Barcelona ill in La Liga. There was an intense debate afterwards over a handball by Samuel Umtiti.
Alaves wanted a penalty, but was it a deliberate handball? It's clear his arm was extended and if referee Iglesias Villanueva pointed tot he spot it would not have been a surprise. But as former referee Eduardo Iturralde Gonzalez said on Cadena Ser, it shouldn't have been given - Umtiti could not avoid it and it was not deliberate.
Wakaso
In any case, earlier in the game the referee made a mistake not giving Suarez a penalty when he was fouled by Wakaso.
There was another mistake too, with Paco Alcacer offside before he was fouled for the goal that led to Messi's second.
