Real Betis 1-2 Barcelona. Alba's late golazo seals Champions League spot

Ansu Fati was also on target as Barça confirmed their place in the top four

Jordi Alba struck a stoppage-time winner as Barcelona beat Real Betis 2-1 to book their place in next season's Champions League.

All three goals came in the final 15 minutes, with substitute Ansu Fati opening the scoring minutes after coming off the bench.

Former Barça defender Marc Bartra levelled almost immediately for Betis but the best was yet to come through Alba.

The left-back sealed the three points with a stunning volley late on after a good cross from Dani Alves.

The win moves Barça 11 points clear of Betis, who are fifth, with just three games to play and seals a spot in the Champions League next season.

The next objective is to come second, with Sevilla third and six points back, albeit with a game in hand.

Barça were not great at Betis, though, and the home side will feel they deserved more from an even game.

Guido Rodriguez hit the post in the first half and Neto, who replaced the ill Marc-Andre ter Stegen, made two good second-half stops from Juanmi.

Ronald Araujo had Barça's best chance of the first half, with Rui Silva tipping his header onto the bar.

Barça had better chances after the break but it wasn't until Ansu's introduction that they found the breakthrough.

The 19-year-old, in just his second appearance following three months out, wrong footed Rui Silva to score his sixth goal and injury-reduced season.

Bartra headed in Nabil Fekir's corner to keep Betis' top four hopes alive but they suffered a blow late on when Alba hammered home.
