Rayo Vallecano vs. Barça: Yamal called up again but still no Dembele

Dembele and Christensen are both set to return at the weekend against Betis

Andreas Christensen has not been included in the list of players called up by Xavi Hernández for FC Barcelona's trip to Vallecas (Wednesday at 10pm). The Danish centre-back, who has trained with the rest of his teammates on Tuesday morning, has not yet been medically cleared and is not yet available for the match.

The positive note in the list, beyond the presence of Pedri and Frenkie de Jong again, is the commitment to the very young Lamine Yamal, who after being called up for the match against Atlético is selected again aged 15. Casadó and Chadi Riad are also in the squad.

The most notable absentees from the squad are once again Ousmane Dembélé and Christensen, who are not yet 100% fit and the team do not want to take any risks. In the press conference prior to the match against Atlético, Xavi assured that both could return to the squad as early as Saturday against Real Betis.

Barça are also without Sergi Roberto, who is still injured, and Sergio Busquets, who picked up a yellow card against Atletico Madrid and is suspended -- an important absence in midfield.

This is the Barça squad to face Rayo Vallecano in Vallecas: Ter Stegen, Iñaki Peña, Arnau Tenas; Araujo, Pedri, Lewandowski, Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, Marcos Alonso, Jordi Alba, Kessie, Frenkie de Jong, Raphinha, Koundé, Eric Garcia, Gavi, Marc Casadó, Balde, Pablo Torre, Chadi Riad and Lamine Yamal.
