The Barça striker reposted a story in which he explains that he did not say that phrase at any time during the press conference, claims he was misquoted

Raphinha has come out in denial ahead of the news where it was alleged that during a press conference the player had made a comment saying "we are better than Real Madrid". The player, through a re-post of an Instagram story, offered his version of events, where he makes it clear that at no time did he make such a comment against Barça's arch rivals, and that his message was entirely on a different note.

The Brazilian spoke of the importance of the Clásico and indicated, as can be seen clearly in the translation of the video posted on his Instagram account, that matches against Real Madrid "are the best", and not that FC Barcelona is better than Real Madrid.

The media, however, had ended up misquoting him, and the news had gone viral on social networks, where word of the alleged remarks had spread to the whole soccer world. However, the Brazilian has come out to calm the waters in the run-up to the Clásico, that FC Barcelona and Real Madrid will play during the tour of the United States.
