Raphinha believes his move to Barça is "imminent"

Barring an unexpected plot twist, Raphinha will be FC Barcelona's third signing for the 2022/23 season following Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen. British media reported late on Sunday that the negotiation between the Blaugrana and Leeds United for the Brazilian winger is already under way. The fees could climb up to €75 million, including add-ons. It is likely that the player from Porto Alegre is very close to fulfilling his dream move.

In fact, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, Raphinha believes that his transfer to Barça is "imminent". The journalist, who specializes in the transfer market, is assured that the deal between the Culés and Leeds is guaranteed at atleast €72 million. The Elland Road club looks likely to accept the offer as soon as it is formalized: pressure from the player and his agent, Deco, over the weekend has been instrumental in the Barça side winning the race for his services.

On Saturday, Raphinha was dropped from Leeds' squad for their tour of Australia. The move has raised speculations that the Brazilian's departure is very close and the stepping up of the negotiations by Barça has borne fruit. Joan Laporta, at Christensen's presentation, had said that they were not planning to announce anymore signings until the activation of the second lever, however, this could be an exception.
