The midfielder is wanted by the Serie A side this month

He's in Barça's squad for Wednesdays' game at Espanyol

Rafinha is back in Ernesto Valverde's squad for Wednesday's Copa del Rey game against Espanyol.

The midfielder returned to training in December and was cleared to return to action, but has not since been included in a single squad.

His inclusion for the derby at Cornella-El Prat is an attempt to force the hand of Inter Milan, who are trying to sign the Brazil international.

While Barça are sitting tight and not letting him leave easily, though, reports in Italy are saying the deal is almost done.

Rafinha was on the front of the Italian newspapers on Wednesday. La Gazzetta dello Sport said "Rafinha to a yes" and Corriere dello Sport mentioned the word: "RafInter".

For now, Barcelona are not going to let Rafa Alcantara leave until they receive a better offer from the Serie A side.

As revealed by SPORT, the club will wait until the last possible minute in order to get the most money the possibly can for the midfielder.

Inter's sporting director Piero Ausilio visited the club's offices this week without success in his bid to finalise a deal for Rafinha, who Barça want close to 45 million euros for.
