The Barça chief spoke about Messi again this week in an interview

Joan Laporta's recent comments in an interview with L'Esportiu have not gone down well with everyone. Not just because he expressed his disappointment at Gavi's agent, who replied by saying there was no contract offer on the table yet, but also for what he said about Lionel Messi.

"Messi left how he left," Laporta said. "We would all have liked him to end his sporting career at Barça and for whatever the reason, that was not possible. It was not to be because of the Spanish league's financial fair play rules and because of the proposal made by Paris Saint-Germain.

According to the show El Larguero on Cadena SER, and confirmed by SPORT, Leo Messi and his camp are fed up of Laporta's constant comments on the Argentine international, above all those he made this week in the Catalan media.

The radio program added that Messi's father, Jorge, personally called the Barça president Laporta a while ago, in a cordial tone, to ask him to stop talking about his son.
