PSG's Matuidi: Barça's 3-4-3 formation also comes with risks
The French midfielder says Barcelona's new formation has both pros and cons
Blaise Matuidi says Barcelona's new 3-4-3 formation also comes with risks.
Luis Enrique has changed Barça's system since the 4-0 first leg loss to Paris Saint-Germain and the results have been positive.
A 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid was followed by 6-1 and 5-0 victories over Sporting Gijon and Celta Vigo respectively.
PSG's Matuidi feels that while it makes the Blaugrana more dangerous, it's a switch which also carries risks.
"The tactical change of Barca?" he said in a press conference on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday's game.
"They’re a team that need possession, need to play (...) tactical changes allow them more possession in midfield and I think that’s what they’re trying to do.
"But obviously it comes with risks, too, although it's true that they've had good results."
Barça hope to become the first team in Champions League history to overturn a four-goal deficit.
