Nasser Al-Khelaifi is not ceding ground over the French midfielder despite Tuchel request

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is not willing to back down over Adrien Rabiot. The PSG chief wants to keep Rabiot apart from the rest of the squad until he renews his contract or leaves for free in the summer. Despite Thomas Tuchel asking to have Rabiot back if he doesn't seal a January transfer move, the PSG chief will not allow it.

Per RMC the PSG president is furious with Rabiot and will not forgive him. A director from the French side, Alain Roche, explained the situation.

"We have seen cases like Ramsey and Herrera where despite not signing on they have continued playing, but other cases too like Barcelona, who have removed a player who is not renewing. We have the right to be intransigent. We have been criticised for allowing players to take advantage of the club. We have to show that the club is strong and maintain our posture. It's not going to cost us too much considering Rabiot doesn't have one of the highest wages in the squad."
