The forward explained that the Blaugrana's victory was not tainted by the refereeing

He showed up the Madrid media who have been trying to blame that for one of the best comebacks of all time

Julian Draxler gave an interview to Le Parisien in which he says the referee was not decisive in PSG’s 6-1 defeat by Barcelona in the Champions League.

While the Madrid media have insisted that the merits of Barcelona’s epic comeback are tainted by the officiating, PSG players don’t think the same - showing up the ‘Madrid media cavern’s’ behaviour.

“We played a very bad game. Barcelona are the best team in the world,” said Draxler. “Certain decisions from the referee didn’t favour us, but when you lose in this way, it can’t just be the official’s fault.

“We played a very bad game, it was simply that. That is the main thing. The other thing is that Barcelona always believed and played the game with the aim of scoring goals. And the main problem is that we played too defensively without wanting to attack their goal.

“It’s complicated, its a team like Barcelona who when they attack, and attack ceaselessly, it’s difficult to hold out. There was no way of managing the situation, above all in the first half. It was a very bad night and everything went Barcelona’s way.”
