The French side want him to sign on for the rest of his top level career

The Neymar soap opera is back and don’t PSG know it. They are trying to renew his deal, which expires in 2022, but nothing has happened yet.

They knew he is interested in going back to Barcelona and Neymar also knows the game of poker going on right now is key.

L’Equipe report on Thursday that PSG have got nervous and are pressuring him to sign on in the next two weeks, before playing against Man City in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

They say PSG have asked Neymar to end the noise and sign a contract that has already been prepared.

They don’t want his future, like Mbappe’s, to be a big cause of speculation that upsets the concentration of the squad.

PSG want him to sign on until 2027, when he will be 35 years old. With such a long contract they hope it will be enough to compensate for the fact that they cannot raise his salary because of the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent economic impact.

Now it’s up to Neymar. If he wants to play with Leo Messi again then PSG must negotiate with Barca. If he wants to stay then he will sign the deal they have made.
