PSG block questions about Lionel Messi
The French club carefully controlled the press conference for Pochettino
PSG saved Mauricio Pochettino from having to respond to questions about the club’s interest in Leo Messi next season. The French club’s media department did not let most Barcelona media ask questions at the press conference.
Pochetten had a placid news conference where he praised Ronald Koeman and said Barca are one o the Champions League favourites along with PSG.
The French side did not want to stoke more controversy ahead of the game after various members of the club had spoken about Messi and trying to sign him.
That included midfielder Leandro Paredes, who also spoke, but he was careful on this occasion not to repeat or expand on his Messi comments.
Barca coach Ronald Koeman had previously said that what PSG were doing was “a lack of respect”.
