PSG and Real Madrid get involved with Barcelona's hunt for a Brazil starlet

Paulinho, from Vasco de Gama, will leave his club this summer and is in demand

Paulinho, a Vasco de Gama youngster, could become the subject of a war between the big European sides. He has become one of the young starlets that clubs are trying to sign. Barcelona were among the first to be interested by him but they are not the last. Vasco de Gama's economic crisis might mean that they have to sell him.

They have tried to keep Paulinho but he has not agreed to stay. It all seems set for him to leave next summer and with the club owing various months' salary to their players they may have to sell the 17 year old star.

Barcelona have seen PSG, Madrid and Juve start to show interest in him, with Brazilian reports saying the French side are in pole position. They have spoken to his agent Carlos Leite.

THE CLAUSE

Paulinho has a 30m euro release fee clause, but Vasco de Gama may negotiate a 20-25m deal. Paulinho is a rough diamond who could become a good investment.
