Xavi Hernandez will be the new Barcelona coach. Rafa Yuste and Mateu Alemany have confirmed as much to the media in Doha and Joan Laporta, SPORT have learned, has also said the same in a meeting with supporters in Galicia on Friday night.

Laporta assured the organisers of the event that "Xavi's contract is about to be finalised." While he has been cautious and not spoken to the media on the trip, where he will take in Barça's game at Celta Vigo on Saturday, he explained at the fan club meeting that Xaci "will be the Barça coach."

There is an agreement between Barça and Al Sadd. The announcement will be made once all the contracts have been drawn up.

Six years after leaving Barça, Xavi will return to Camp Nou to take over the first team and to try and grow his legacy at the Catalan club. He has a lot of work ahead of him to turn around a difficult situation and make the supporters happy again.
