The Portuguese side could bring in two players from Barça this summer

Porto have their sights set on Barcelona's discarded players. The 'Dragoes' have advanced negotiations for the loan of Nico Gonzalez, the only player that Xavi Hernandez has left out of the tour of the United States, thinking about his future.

But he is not the only Barça player in which the Portuguese club are interested. According to reports coming out of Portugal, Sergio Conceiçao's side would also like to bring in full-back Julián Araujo.

The Mexican defender, who last season was unable to play a single minute as he could not be registered due to signing after the transfer window closed, was included in the squad for the tour of the United States while waiting for his future to be sorted out.

Araujo has several proposals on the table to leave on loan, although so far none of them have materialised. Feyenoord and Las Palmas are also interested in him.

Xavi has been testing Araujo in training and, in principle, does not plan to give him minutes throughout the season. The club is counting on him for the future, but he would first need to acclimatise to European football. Barça are listening to offers.
