Player ratings: Ter Stegen and De Jong key to Barça's win against Elche
Ter Stegen at one end and De Jong at the other made all the difference on Sunday
Barcelona beat Elche 2-0 on Sunday to make it nine games unbeaten in La Liga, with the goals coming from Frenkie de Jong and substitute Riqui Puig.

Marc ter Stegen 9
The German was hardly troubled by Elche but had to be switched on when Mingueza's mistake sent Rigoni clean through. And he was, making a brilliant one-on-one save to keep Barça 1-0 up.
Oscar Mingueza 5
The youngster played at right-back with Dest not fit to start and Sergi Roberto injured. Made a mistake which could have cost Barça points, but Ter Stegen saved him.
Ronald Araujo 6
The Uruguayan's consolidated his place in the side. Had a good understanding with Umtiti.
Samuel Umtiti 6
The centre-back got another chance and showed that, little by little, he could be an important player again. Or at least a useful one.
Jordi Alba 6
Didn't stop offering himself in attack but didn't have as much joy as other games.
Pedri 7
The opposition now know what to expect and dedicate a lot of men to reducing his space. Appeared a lot more in the second half, creating some dangerous situation for Barça.
Sergio Busquets 6
Moved the ball well and didn't have many problems in defence. Was booked and will miss the next game against Athletic.
Frenkie de Jong 7
The Dutchman drove forward whenever he could. Scored the first goal -- just! -- and set up the second for Puig brilliantly.
Ousmane Dembele 6
The Frenchman was very active. Took on responsibility but didn't find the necessary inspiration this time. Didn't stop trying and dribbling but couldn't make his mark in the final third.
Martin Braithwaite 6
Played on the left where he's not as comfortable but didn't hide and his cross led to the opening goal.
Antoine Griezmann 6
Koeman played him as the central forward, although he had licence to move around. Forced the Diego Gonzalez error that led to De Jong's goal. Not at this best.

Came on in the 74th minute and was heavily involved, almost scoring twice
Riqui Puig 6
Replaced Pedri in the 86th minute and scored a header late on -- his first goal for the club -- to seal the points.

El alemán pasó completamente desapercibido ante los escasísimos acercamientos del Elche a su área durante el primer tiempo. Sólo le despertaron de su letargo en el último tramo en una llegada de Josan que resolvió bien. Tras el descanso presentó sus credenciales y evitó el empate al resolver de forma magistral un mano a mano ante Rigoni tras un error de Mingueza.
El canterano volvió a actuar como lateral derecho. Cumplió en defensa y trató de proyectarse en ataque, aunque no tuvo la precisión necesaria en los metros finales. Cometió un error que estuvo a punto de costar muy caro, ya que se dejó robar la cartera ante Rigoni, pero la acción acabó sin consecuencias gracias a Ter Stegen.
El uruguayo ha logrado consolidarse en el once titular. Se entendió bien con Umtiti y volvió a ser un muro en defensa.
El central volvió a tener una oportunidad y demostró que poco a poco puede volver a ser un jugador importante y, sobre todo, útil.
Se proyectó por la banda de forma regular y no paró de ofrecerse. No encontró demasiado socios en ataque.
Los rivales ya están avisados y dedican mucha atención a no dejarle espacios para que pueda destapar el tarro de las esencias. Le costó entrar en juego, pero no se escondió. Apareció mucho más tras el descanso y creó algunas situaciones de peligro
Asumió el mando en el centro del campo y movió el balón con criterio. En defensa no tuvo demasiados problemas, aunque tuvo que emplearse más a fondo en el segundo tiempo. Se perderá el próximo partido ante el Athletic por la amarilla que vio.
El holandés se desplegó constantemente, aunque estuvo más impreciso de lo acostumbrado. Apareció en el último instante para rematar al fondo de la portería el mal despeje de Diego González, por lo que el 0-1 fue suyo. Abarcó mucho campo y se empleó a fondo tanto en ataque como en defensa. Fabricó la jugada del 0-2 con una gran arrancada y un gran centro a Riqui Puig.
El francés fue el delantero más activo. Asumió la responsabilidad, pero no encontró la inspiración necesaria y no acabó de desbordar. No paró de intentarlo, aunque con el paso de los minutos fue perdiendo algo de fuelle y acabó siendo sustituido.
Le tocó moverse por la banda izquierda, donde no se desenvuelve con demasiada comodidad, pero no se escondió y dio la cara en todo momento. Un centro suyo significó el 0-1.
Koeman le situó como delantero centro, aunque se movió constantemente en busca de espacios y para asociarse con sus compañeros. Forzó el remate en propia portería de Diego González que significó el 0-1, pese a que De Jong fue el último en empujar el balón al fondo de la red. No estuvo especialmente fino con el balón.
Entró en el minuto 74 en lugar de Dembélé. Se mostró participativo y dispuso de dos buenas ocasiones para marcar.
Sustituyó a Pedri en los últimos compases para tratar de mantener el balón. Culminó una gran jugada de De Jong y sentenció el partido con el 0-2.
