The Bosnian midfielder is willing to drop his wage demands in order to join Juventus on loan

Unless there are any unexpected changes, Miralem Pjanic will not be a Barcelona player for the 2021-22 season. The Bosnian centre midfielder understands that he is not in Ronald Koeman's plans for the upcoming season, and the club's board is desperately looking to find a new suitor for the player to help them reduce their wage bill. Not only is he willing to agree to a wage cut in order to find a new club, but he also wants his future to be resolved as soon as possible.

According to SPORT sources, Pjanic wants his future to be sorted before the first team squad fly out for their training camp in Baden-Wurtemberg, Germany (28 July - 3 August). The following day, Koeman's team will then travel to Salzburg for a friendly in the Red Bull Arena. In other words, Pjanic wants to seal a move to a new club by Wednesday.

His agent is currently working to secure a loan deal to Juventus, in which the player would take a wage cut and join the Turin club on loan for one year with the option of a second year. Massimiliano Allegri has already given his approval to the operation. In his first spell at Juventus, Pjanic played 178 games, registering 22 goals and 41 assists.

Barça is willing to let the player join Juventus without any loan fee, as long as the Italian club assumes the entirety of his wages. The Barça board would also be willing to consider a swap deal for Rodrigo Bentancur, but Juve are unlikely to let the Uruguayan international leave this summer.
