The Bosnian has not come to Camp Nou to pick up a pay check

Miralem Pjanic has not yet won his place in the Barcelona XI since joining the club in the summer. The Bosnian midfielder was on the bench again against Real Betis and only came on for the final few minutes. Later, he posted an enigmatic message on social media. Of him sat on the bench. Many interpreted that as him expressing his frustration.

Pjanic has also given an interview to Canal Plus Francia, covering his move to the club. And he comes across as very ambitious. He is delighted to have moved to Camp Nou but will not rest now he's at the club.

"I am at the best club in the world and the style of play is what I have always wanted to play. But I am still not satisfied. I want to have the chance to win the biggest trophies. That's my objective. To be the best and to win the biggest titles. And that's what I want," he said.

Pjanic believes that the chance to sign for Barça arrived at the right moment. And he remembered other moments in his career when big clubs moved for him.

He added: "I had the chance to join clubs like Bayern Munich and Inter in the past. But it didn't seem the right moment. I also could have gone to Juventus two years earlier but I didn't feel it was the right moment. I didn't want to lose two years of playing regularly in a team that already had Pogba, Vidal and Pirlo. Now I play for Barça and it's a challenge."

Finally, on his skillset, he said: "My game is to see things first and speed things up. I am not the quickest in the team but I make the ball move quickly. That's my vision of the game. I am not the best physically, even though I have worked on it. But above all my game is control, passing and vision. For me, football is being intelligent on the pitch."
