The Ajax midfielder will join Barcelona in the summer for 75 million euros

Ajax, Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong are the stars of European football at the moment after taking Madrid and Turin. 

The Dutch side have knocked Real Madrid and Juventus out of the Champions League and will face either Manchester City or Tottenham in the semifinal. 

Former Juve midfielder Andrea Pirlo has been impressed with midfielder De Jong, who will join Barça in the summer, and revealed he recommended the Italian side sign him. 

"De Jong is really good," the ex-Italy international said. "I have followed him for several years and advised Juve to follow him with more attention on a number of times. But the Barça appeared and were better and quicker and got the deal done." 

Meanwhile, Juve vice president Pavel Nedved said: "Frenkie reminds me of Pirlo a lot." 

The rest of Europe are already looking on in envy as Barça look forward to having De Jong in a Blaugrana shirt next season.
