Pique returns to Barça training, Suarez continues to work on his own

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique was the new face at training on Tuesday after playing for Catalonia in Girona on Monday night. 

The centre-back trained with the first team and the B team as coach Ernesto Valverde continues to wait for the majority of his internationals to return. 

Pique was one of the stars of Catalonia's win over Venezuela on Monday, hitting the bar with a free kick in the win before later being substituted to a standing ovation. 

Luis Suarez did not take part in Tuesday's group session, though. The Uruguayan continues to work on his recovery from a sprained ankle on his own. 

Valverde's preparing his players for Saturday's Catalan derby against Espanyol at Camp Nou. He hopes both Suarez and Lionel Messi will be fit.
