Pique denied final Barça appearance after half time red card!

The defender was sent off against Osasuna before he could come off the bench

There were several controversial decisions in Osasuna 1-2 Barcelona.

The game started with David Garcia's goal in the fifth minute, coming from header from a corner, surprising Ter Stegen, who did not understand why the officials did not point out a foul by Unai García on Marcos Alonso.

In the 30th minute, Lewandowski received a red card for a second booking. They were decisions that Gerard Piqué did not like at all. He blamed referee Gil Manzano at the break and ended up being sent off on his final ever game for Barça.

The Barça central defender, at the break, went to look for Gil Manzano on the field of play to ask him for explanations about his decisions -- a conversation that lasted until the referee entered the tunnel and beyond.

In the exchange of words, Pique was clearly not happy with the decisions made in the first half. His claims did go down well with the match referee, who ended up showing him the red.

It remains to be seen what the referee writes in the report since at the moment the reason for the expulsion is not known.

In what would have been the last game of his career, Pique did not play a minute in the first half and was not able to come on for his 617th Barça appearance.

The referee's report later cleared up:

'Gerard was sent off for the following reason: Once the first half ended, inside the tunnel, he spoke to me in the following terms: "Have you seen the corner [for the Osasuna goal] you gave against us? You are the referee that has fucked us the most by a distance."

'Other incidents: Once his dismissal had been communicated to the club delegate, he continued repeating the same expressions detailed above and had to be led into the dressing room by club staff, while he spoke to me in the following terms: "You are a fucking disgrace, go fuck yourself."'
