Pepe Reina: "Ter Stegen is like Neuer... but Neuer is still the number one"
Pepe Reina says he is impressed with Marc-Andre ter Stegen and thinks he is a very similar goalkeeper to Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer.
"Neuer and Ter Stegen have similar profiles," the Bayern stopper said.
"They're powerful, but above all they have a good relationship with their defenders and they are good with their feet... but Manu, with his expeirence, is No.1."
However, Ter Stegen, 22, is still young and Reina says he is well placed to progress in the game.
"Ter Stegen is very well placed [at Barcelona]," he added.
"He is doing well. Both him and [Claudio] Bravo are, and that is in the large shadow of Victor Valdes, which was never going to be easy to fill."
Reina's Bayern side take on Barça next week in the Champions League and the Spanish keeper says the Catalan side may have the advantage because of the amount of players the Germans currently have injured.
