The Azulgrana will do everything possible to try to bring in Bernardo Silva

Following the departure of Ousmane Dembélé to PSG, which will become official in the next few hours, Barça are still working to strengthen the squad. One of the most popular players within the club is treble champions Manchester City's Bernardo Silva, although the operation to try to sign him is financially very complicated.

Barça are not giving up and will try everything they can to bring in the gifted player. The maximum Blaugrana proposal will be around 65 million euros fixed plus ten million euros in achievable add-ons.

Despite FC Barcelona's firm interest, City manager Pep Guardiola has spoken out about Bernardo's future at the press conference ahead of Sunday's Community Shield game at Wembley against Arsenal.

When asked about the Portuguese, Guardiola was clear: "We want Bernardo to stay here and we will do everything we can to make sure he does".

Despite that, the Catalan coach also added that "I don't want any player who doesn't want to be here, I want to work with players who want to stay". Thus, Pep Guardiola has made it clear that Bernardo Silva can leave for "a suitable offer", keeping the door open for the Portuguese midfielder and inviting other clubs to "get on a plane and talk to our sporting director".

Thus, although Guardiola has reaffirmed his stance of trying to keep Bernardo, he does not appear to have secured his continuity at Manchester City.
