The teenage midfielder has quickly earned coach Ronald Koeman's confidence

Pedri González forms part of a group of emerging young players that are causing excitement among Barcelona fans. Along with Araujo, De Jong, Riqui Puig, Ansu Fati and Trincao, among others, the midfielder has the chance to be the present and future at Camp Nou. He's still not 18 but he already has Ronald Koeman's confidence. He has played in all three league games so far, albeit off the bench each time. 

Pedri's 'explosion' has been seen on the pitch but now also in the offices. According to a recent announcement by Transfermarkt, experts in player values, the Spain U21 international's price has doubled this summer. Before the season started, he was priced at 7.2 million euros. Now he's priced at 15 million, a rise of 7.8 million.

In fact, the Canary Islander is the fifth most expensive U18 on the market. Ansu Fari has a value of 80 million, up from 50 million, while Rennes' Eduardo Camavinga (37.5 million), Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham (27 million) and Lyon's Rayan Cherki (18 million) are all valued higher. 

Transfermarky also put together a team of the best U21 players in LaLiga, with four Barça players included: Ansu, Pedri, Sergiño Dest and Francisco Trincao. Also in the side are Nehuén Pérez (Granada on loan from Atletico), Hugo Guillamón (Valencia), Manu Sánchez (Atlético), Yunus Musah (Valencia), Kang-in Lee (Valencia), Joao Félix (Atlético) and Vinícius (Real Madrid).
