Pedri: I listen to and learn from Leo Messi

He says he has to score more goals and get physically stronger

Pedri Gonzalez, 17, is already important for Barcelona and is a key player in Spain U21s. He spoke to the agency EFE and here are some of his key quotes.

Away from home: I'm enjoying it all, it's a really nice sensation. Although you're far from the people that love you, I'm doing what I like, which is playing football.

Barca expectations: When I came I was a player who had been playing in the second division, I didn't have as much experience and I came to get that as soon as possible, to try and stay here with effort and hard work. What I'm doing I'm proud of and what I have to do is keep working to get as many minutes as possible.

Juve show: I always watch the game again to see where I made a mistake, above all. I focus more on what I did wrong than what I did right. I think the best way to improve day to day is that.

Goals: That's something I have to improve. Each time I can I shoot in training. Physically too, I am working on it. All to be better in the future.

Koeman praise: From day one he told me I had to work very hard because it was hard to stay at Barca and I think I have, I've shown him that I can be here and he backed me by playing me in important games. I have to be grateful to him and keep working.

Clasico: I was really happy to play, it's a dream that you have as a kid ever since you see it on TV. I was lucky and I'm grateful to Koeman and my team-mates for making it easy (for me to play).

First moments with Messi: As I think everyone finds it, it was quite something to see him in person. But as the days pass, he's a normal guy, a friend in the dressing room. It's great to play games and train with, while learning from, the best player in the world.

Messi relationship: For now it's very good! He always gives you advice on the pitch, that is what a captain has to do I think, and that's him, he knows what he's talking about for what he's won and done in football. That Messi gives you advice is pride and I always try to listen to him and learn from him, which suits me very well.
