Pedri brings forward his return to Barca training
The youngster just loves football and wanted to get involved early
Pedri is back in training, earlier than expected. He went on holiday on August 21 after the game against Athletic. He was allowed to stay away until Wednesday but he wanted to come back, with his batteries already recharged.
Pedri needed disconnection, above all mentally, after a wild first season at the club then the Euros and Olympics with Spain.
He won silver with La Roja in Tokyo and then played in the first two games of the season.
The Canarian, his people told SPORT feels strong and is excited to get going again. He knows a lot of Barca’s hope is in players like him and Ansu Fati, the youth.
The club have started negotiations over a new deal for Pedri. He currently has a deal that expires in 2022, but Barca can extend it by two more years. They are working on a five year deal.
