The French club could bring in the Dutch midfielder to bolster their core
The future of Frenkie de Jong is one of the big enigmas at Barcelona. Xavi wants him but the club need money and he’s one of the best options to sell.
Until now, Man United are the club that have shown the most interest in him. Erik ten Hag, their coach and his former Ajax boss can get the best from him.
In recent hours, PSG have appeared on the scene. They tried to sign him before, when Barcelona won. Now they are considering coming again.
Le Parisien and Footmercato are reporting this. Luis Campos, the PSG sporting director, thinks it’s important to reinforce in midfield and that’s where De Jong comes in. He’s had three seasons at Barcelona, where he’s lacked consistency.
Pedri and Gavi’s explosion has also made it easier for Barcelona to think about selling him this summer. They are hoping to get around 80 million euros for him.
