Palmeiras agree new deal with Barcelona over Yerry Mina

The president and director of football of Palmeiras, Mauricio Galiotte and Alexandre Mattos, respectively, are in Barcelona

Palmeiras announced on Monday they have a deal with Barcelona to extend the option to buy on defender Yerry Mina which the Catalan club has, until 2018. The president and director of football of Palmeiras, Mauricio Galiotte and Alexandre Mattos, respectively, are in Barcelona, where they have reached the deal "until after the World Cup 2018".

"The previous deal that Barcelona could have executed was the option to buy in July 2017," at the end of the current season, but the club do not want to do this so as not to harm Palmeiras, who will be in the middle of the Copa Libertadores.

So Barcelona have another year in which they can buy Yerry Mina, the Colombian international for 9m euros.
